Mr Sandman by SJI Holliday

 3.5

I wanted to give three and a half but it wouldn’t let me.
I’m not usually a fan of the shorter stories but found this one quite entertaining, beautifully written with a good plot full of genuine creepiness.
Not so keen on the characters however, Sophie kind of deserved what she went through and wasn’t very likeable and Matthew, well, he was overly boring to start with and then just bizarre (which I know was the point).
Quick, easy read and worth a go if you like a bit of comedic horror.

The Murmurs by Michael J Malone

 5*

Absolutely loved this book, it took a couple of chapters to get into but once I had, I was truly invested. Annie was a great character, well written and with plenty of depth, I liked her brother too.
The Scottish setting was haunting and I enjoyed how the story flicked back and forth from past to present.
Haunting and suspenseful - I would recommend

The Boat Trip by Heather J Fitt

 5*

My first Heather J Fitt book and I really loved it.
It was based onboard a boat obviously which made things exciting and a little claustrophobic.
Characters were well written and descriptive, I liked some and not others, I also liked how each person unfolded gradually as the story went on.
A fast paced plot with a few twists and a lot of suspense!

All The Dangerous Things by Stacy Willingham

 5*

I absolutely was blown away by this novel.

I loved it from start to finish, I loved how at first I wasn’t keen on the main character, Isabelle but was really rooting for her by the end, the story had an incredible but believable twist and the emotion and true to life feelings that all of the characters possessed were very, very engaging.

The scene, the style of writing, the pace and the the plot were brilliant, I couldn’t put this book down until I’d read the last page!
