The name drew me to this book and I wasn’t disappointed.
After a slightly slow start and a few characters to get my head around I was suddenly hooked.
From the tranquil setting of the family retreat to the hustle and bustle of everyday life, each scene was written with immersive description and peppered with humour to lighten the oppressive atmosphere.
The plot soon picked up and had me biting my nails while things began to spiral out of control for Nina and her big family, this could actually happen to any of us and who knows how they would react if put in this exact situation.
Culminating in a satisfying ending, I would highly recommend this book.
