The River Wild by Denis O Neill

After thoroughly enjoying the movie of the same title starring Meryl Streep and the great Kevin Bacon, I just had to give the book a go.
It was a good effort, worth a read if you liked the film but it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
I gave it three stars.
Here is my review, reviewed on Amazon.co.uk/com, GoodReads and Netgalley.

After enjoying the film starring Meryl Streep and Kevin Bacon,  I was looking forward to this book.
It wasn't quite as good as I had hoped but it was well written and stuck close to the screenplay storyline, giving insight into the characters that you just didn't get on screen.
The characters were strong, descriptions not bad but it didn't quite keep me enthralled which was a shame as it had all the potential of being an exciting adventure.
In parts it was tense, in others a bit tedious but overall a good, solid novel that is worth a read if you like the film or the storyline interests you.
