Took a few chapters to get into this book but once I did I enjoyed it. An edge of your seat thriller that keeps you guessing until the end with a few interesting twists on the way. Gamache is perfect as the thorough and serious detective whilst some of the quirkier characters add a bit of lightness to the heavy subject. This novel is a slow burn, dealing with real issues.
